Each piece is wheel-thrown and hand-altered by Miranda Aisling (ash-lean) in the Gloucester\, MA community of Lanesville. \n  \nAbout the Festival:  \nJoin us for the 18th annual Salem Arts Festival\, June 5-7\, 2026\, in historic downtown Salem\, celebrating our Salem 400+ milestone through a vibrant showcase of local art\, music\, dance\, and theatre performances across outdoor stages. This free\, family-friendly event honors four centuries of creative spirit through interactive art-making\, a makers’ marketplace\, pop-up exhibitions\, a live mural slam\, and public art installations\, drawing over 10\,000 attendees annually.

SUMMARY:Miranda Aisling opens for What Time Is It Mr. Fox?
DESCRIPTION:Named after a Victorian children’s game\, What Time Is It\, Mr. Fox? is a five person band from Gloucester that plays a genre blending combination of soul\, folk\, and cabaret. Their original songs marry rich lyrical imagery with a cinematic sensibility\, exploring themes of love\, spirituality\, sexuality\, and identity. \nThe group’s performances range from intimate coffeehouses and living room concerts to music halls and theatrical productions accompanied by circus performers and animation. \nTheir original song “Cold Rain” was covered by New Orleans Soul Queen\, Irma Thomas\, on her Grammy-nominated album “Simply Grand\,” with the track earning high praise in Rolling Stone & USA Today. \nIn summer 2019\, the band premiered their multimedia animated musical “Medusa” in a sold-out run in the Charles Hayden Planetarium at Museum of Science Boston\, followed by another sold-out weekend at Central Square Theater in Cambridge MA in 2022. \nIn March 2025\, What Time Is It\, Mr. Fox? released the 18-track album “Live At The Cut” now streaming on Spotify\, AppleMusic\, AmazonMusic\, and more. \n— \nMiranda Aisling began teaching herself guitar while not practicing piano when she was seven years old. \nAisling’s original folk songs\, now performed on both piano and guitar\, combine a frank vulnerability with social commentary. A classically trained pianist who threw aside Bach for the Indigo Girls\, Aisling brings the feeling of a folk festival to any space with her approachable performances and stories both spoken and sung. \nShe began writing songs at the age of thirteen under the influence of the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival\, which she has gone to most years since she was born.
