Miranda’s Hearth

Mission & Vision: Miranda’s Hearth is a social enterprise dedicated to building a community through creativity that is approachable, affordable, and accessible.

We operate simultaneously on two intertwining levels: our non-profit arm, The Hearth Community, offers free or low cost creative programming while our for-profit arm, The Hearth Hotel, offers rooms where everything from the food to the furniture is handmade by local artists.

These two arms work together to create a self-sustaining, community-based arts business that gives back through community engagement and economic stability.

The Community

multidisciplinary community devoted to empowering individuals through creative exploration and authentic relationships.

The Events

Six monthly events and two annual events that facilitate creative community building.

The Goal

To build the first community art hotel where everything from the food to the furniture is made by local artists.

The Tiny House

Aubergine, the Hearthmade Tiny House, built from June 2015-July 2016 at The Umbrella Community Arts Center.

The Book

Don’t Make Art, Just Make Something is a book by Hearth Founder Miranda Aisling that captures the process, struggle, and vital importance of getting started
