the idea: have my current group of kids come up with their own project

As one project for one of my many jobs at the MFA I am working with a group of kids to create something for the opening of their music clubhouse.  This is a little different from what I normally do when I go out to work with them so I had to get them into a different mindset.

We played a few group games to get everyone warmed up and thinking about how music and art are connected, and how much the kids use each art form in their lives.  Then we proceeded to the brainstorming phase.  I had a big piece of paper which the children wrote on as they came up with ideas.  As of now, we’re going to have some sort of performance mixed with an art piece that definitely involves neon and glow-in-the-dark colors.
