Miranda Aisling began teaching herself guitar while not practicing piano when she was seven years old.
Aisling’s original folk songs, now performed on both piano and guitar, combine a frank vulnerability with social commentary. A classically trained pianist who threw aside Bach for the Indigo Girls, Aisling brings the feeling of a folk festival to any space with her approachable performances and stories both spoken and sung.
She began writing songs at the age of thirteen under the influence of the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, which she has gone to most years since she was born.
