I’m cheating today. Lesley is not a person, it’s my university. But tonight were the thesis presentations for Masters of Education in Community Art and in Integrated Teaching through the Arts AKA a lot of awesome people talking about a whole variety of inspiring things.
I got to present my book, perform three of the four spoken word poems from my book, and then sit back and watch everyone else do their thang. Not only that, but my wonderful aunts flew in from Arizona and Michigan then drove up from Connecticut with my mom and then even my dad came up from Connecticut.
All in all it was a great evening, although I am thankful to be done with it, and for everyone who is graduating with me, we have made something pretty damn awesome.
