Today I finished my newest knitted canvas, the one where I decided to leave the needles in.  It was soft, large yarn and trying to get gesso on that was really challenging.  The paintbrush was just pulling at the fabric so I had an idea.

What if I just scooped out the gesso and smeared it in?

What ensued was incredibly fun, highly efficient, and made a great sound.  Have you ever heard the sound of hands running through wet paint on a bumpy canvas?  Well, now I have.
