Earlier this year (I guess last year, technically), I stumbled upon an incredible awareness campaign. An old friend of mine had posted it on her Facebook and intrigued by the title, I stopped to watch it instead of continuing my scroll past.
Dumb Ways to Die (shown below) is a video where dancing… things get killed in random and horrible ways while dancing and singing about it to cute catchy music. At first it just seems like someone’s funny internet scheme, then at the end when the little dancing things start getting hit by trains the message starts to dawn on you.
It’s actually an awareness campaign created by the Australian train company, Metro Trains Melbourne. You have to watch the video to get the full affect, but personally I’ll just say that I am much more aware around trains.
