Idea No. 77: Cut it Out

the idea: take a drip painting and cut it out

Running a drop-in activity at the MFA means that sometimes there are so many people you can barely keep up and sometimes you’re sitting around waiting for someone to come around.

For the past three days I’ve been working at the Free Moving Paint station helping children make paintings inspired by Morris Louis (see yesterday’s idea).

Overall it’s been pretty busy and we’ve worked with a lot of kids.  However during one of the breaks I decided to start cutting out one of our examples and throughout the rest of the day I snipped at the little holes with a pair of kid scissors whenever there was a break.

I think I may be irrationally proud of this but whatever, it looks neat.
