the idea: do a drip painting, let it dry, then drip again. And again. And again.
This is the last idea in a series inspired by the MFA’s February Vacation week. There have been art activities and children all over the museum and it has been wonderful. Tiring, but wonderful.
Although I’ll be working again tomorrow to finish the week, today was my last day at the Free Moving Paint station. I’ve been working on one piece that was actually originally an example made by one of our interns. With her permission, I put layer after layer on the painting to see what would happen.
I would love to keep going until all the spaces were filled in with paint, but I think this is enough. I was teaching after all, so four layers over four days was all I could manage. Who knows, maybe I’ll just have to cut it out like I did with yesterday’s idea.
