the idea: photograph the watercolors running down the sink

I love liquid watercolors.

I had never used, seen, or heard of them before I worked at the MFA but now I use them all the time.  They are incredibly bright and make everything look amazing, especially when used in combination with oil pastels.

Today I was teaching with them yet again and, yet again, I had to pour the extra down the sink.  This is always a sad and yet also fascinating moment, watching the colors meld together as they run down the drain.  Today I decided to take a picture of it, although in the time it took me tog et my phone all that was left were the stains of color on the stainless steel.
