the idea: send pins of amethysts to people who can’t be physically present at the wedding but want to be part of it
the ideator: Briana Blythe
My godsister, Brianna, has been off on incredible travels in Milan becoming a famous opera singer. Because of this, I haven’t seen her since before I went to college, but even so she remembered me and my family as she prepared to get married. When I drove into Connecticut this evening, in preparation for a week long trip to Michigan to see my grandparents, my mother showed me the package that had come from Briana, who is getting married tomorrow. In case you can’t read the text in the photo, I’ve copied it here:
“Dear Amy, Rafaello, Miranda, Mairead, & Chris,
These amethyst stones are five of many of their kind ar our wedding, and are a symbol that remains close to our hearts. We would be honored if you would carry them with you on June 29th, wherever you may be, as a way to celebrate with us even though we’ll be miles apart.
We ask that this amethyst represent true hearts, bountiful blessings, and an infinite connection to the Divine Light for us, for you, and for the Earth.
Love,
Briana & Greg”
Congratulations Briana! With my family and friends spread across the country and the world, this is definitely an idea that I’m going to have to steal!
