the idea: dye an easter egg with the Human Rights Campaign’s equality sign
ideator: Aldon Hynes
Although Aldon is the ideator of this Equality Easter (which was based on something he saw on the internet), it is still me writing. I think this is allowed, for the most part, because he’s my Dad.
Dyeing Easter eggs is an old family tradition, one that I haven’t taken a part of since I left for college five years ago, but that still continues. Dad never did that many easter eggs, but the he always put a lot of effort into the ones he did and was quite proud of them. He was particularly liked doing flags. I would guess that there is an Irish flag egg and an Italian flag egg is his fridge right now.
This year, it seems he has continued his passion for political eggs. I woke up this morning to see that my sister shared his image of the Equality Easter Egg with me on Facebook saying, “sometimes our family is awesome.”
I have to agree, although it will be a sad day when someone eats the Equality Egg.
