Idea No. 125: An Attempt at Animation

the idea: animate 30 seconds of Elizabeth Gilbert’s TEDtalk

This idea was one of those that you are forced to come up with for school, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.  My last class, apart form my thesis seminar, is called Power of the Image.  For the second half of the class we have spent a good amount of time talking about animation and then attempting to make our own animations.  (More of this will come in the next few weeks).

I have never been a technologically inclined artist.  While I do enjoy my camera and have gotten more comfortable with social media, when it comes to the creation of art I am very tactile and thus technology does not have a strong appeal for me.  But I guess that’s what school is for, forcing us to grow by doing things we aren’t necessarily comfortable with.
