May 16, Simone’s Something

When we talk about artists we often focus, unsurprisingly, on what they make. However, where they work can be just as interesting which is why it’s particularly interesting that Simone considered her studio her something.

A relevant excerpt from Don’t Make Art, Just Make Something:

“On most days, an artist’s studio isn’t full of inspirational new masterpieces waiting to be discovered. Instead it’s piled high with scraps of paper covered in partial ideas and piles of paint that are the wrong shade of purple.”
