Most of what I have learned about the history of the world came through art history classes.  That’s how I finally learned how on earth Rome went from the pagan gods to the Christian God, for example.  But these ever shifting lines from various wars and takeovers are eyeopening.  Especially when you notice how much they’ve continued to change all the day up to present day.
