Idea No. 7: A Rainbow Turkey

The amount of turkey themed arts activities that happen in November is slightly disgusting.  I saw this as an art instructor who does her best to come up with ideas that don’t involve tracing your hand and making an animal you’re about to eat out of it.  But even I couldn’t help drawing a turkey on my house’s whiteboard for Thanksgiving.

The thing is, we don’t have many colors in our ziploc bagged, tacked to the pin board below the whiteboard.  I could have just made a traditional turkey with some red feathers, but with no oranges or yellows to spruce it up, that possibility just didn’t satisfy my need for color.  So instead, I decided to use all the colors in the bag.

And the Rainbow Turkey was born.  I feel like he will make other appearances in the future, but who knows.
