Working at a paint-your-own pottery shop means that I’ve been spending a lot of time painting pottery. What a crazy coincidence! This piece (which is actually an overturned dog bowl with a hole drilled in it) was created on a series of slow days at work while I was teaching a color theory class at my other job. Thus the color wheel and the tiny details. The pottery I paint tends to be much more controlled than my oil paintings, with small doodles that turn into intricate designs. I’m happy that I’m exploring a new creative outlet and that now I have new fun art pieces like this clock hanging on my walls.
