the idea: draw my version of ThunderDream

This is once again a guest idea that I am typing up.  After all Andrea, my old college roommate, was amazing enough to draw this picture for me so I thought that I’d do the writing.

Fan art is an interesting realm, one which I have only viewed the edge of.  Thanks to a cursory education in anime from my older sister after she went to college, I know a few shows, have seen some great and some awful fan art, and have read a bit of fanfiction.  (And yes, I do know that fan stuff applies to more than anime, I watch Sherlock after all).

So I’m sure you can see how, as a community artist, I was thrilled when Andrea asked to make some fan art of ThunderDream on her second day in the world.  Although I doubt ThunderDream will have much of a live outside my own sketchbook, it is encouraging to see my ideas catch on in any shape or form.  Especially when they look as cool as this!
