My family is from Michigan. They are loud, kind, and apart from a main few they are spread out all over the country. About once a year we get together and when we do there always seems to be a birthday nearby.
Today it was my grandmother’s 92nd birthday. We had presents, meatloaf, long conversations, and, of course, cake. Because my birthday comes up next I was added to the family song and got to blow out the candles with my grandmother. After all, yesterday when she was 91 and I was 19, we were the same age only backwards.
